Rudy Rucker wrote many, many non-fiction and Science Fiction books. He is a mathematician and one of the original cyberpunk movement authors. He is a painter and lover of critters and a very nice guy who answered very patiently questions like "are you a science informed animist?" or "what about all the tentacles?".
